Max Guinn
CO-FOUNDER
In 2010, at ten years old, Max Guinn founded Kids Eco Club (KEC), a youth organization that starts and supports environmental clubs in K-12 schools across the globe. He wanted to inspire kids to care for the planet, its wildlife and each other. KEC now has over 100,000 participants. He has collaborated and been recognized by organizations such as the United Nations, The Sierra Club, the State of California, the city of San Diego – and even the Dalai Lama – as a leader in youth engagement in conservation activism and environmental stewardship. Max co-founded Climate Change Is 4 Real in 2017, with his brother Gavin, to introduce his peers directly, with the aid of video conferencing technology, to climate and conservation scientists and leaders in sustainability and animal conservation. His goal is to inspire students to take action on climate change and engage them in STEM careers that support and sustain the planet and its biodiversity. Max also blogs about environmental issues for the Huffington Post. He lives with his family on the San Diego coast.
Gavin Guinn
CO-FOUNDER
Gavin Guinn’s love for animal conservation and the environment is very hands-on. At eleven, he is already a seasoned public speaker on animal conservation and environmental issues in his role as Youth Director of Kids Eco Club (KEC), an organization co-founded by his brother Max, that helps start and support environmental clubs in K-12 schools. Gavin has made wild animal visits with porcupines, barn owls, foxes, snakes and possum to educate school groups, spearheaded the creation of butterfly and edible gardens at several schools, and collaborated with scientists in the field to tag leopard sharks and provide tidal pool animal presentations. As co-founder of Climate Change Is 4 Real with Max, he is excited to virtually connect student groups and their instructors with even more scientists, conservation experts and organizations in 2017. His goal is to share their knowledge and research with a like-minded audience to promote activism and the pursuit of careers in science. He lives with his family on the San Diego coast.

Ella Daughterty
TECHNOLOGIST
Passionate about the environment and inspiring others to become responsible global citizens, Ella brings her love of coding and connecting people to her role as technologist for Climate Change is 4 Real. Attending elementary school in Geneva, Switzerland gave Ella the opportunity to interact and befriend people from all over the world, and with that came the realization that we are all interconnected. Now a junior in high school, Ella believes technology and technological innovation hold the key to fixing some of the Earth’s most pressing problems and to engaging people to make the world a better place. Ella is graduating high school in June 2018 (one year early), and is earning money modeling to help her pursue a career in coding.
